E-max Dura-seal DryBox™

Next time you approach and/or service your trailer, have a look underneath and see if you can locate a plastic box with wires going to it. Then, using a Screwdriver, open the box and prepare to be disappointed when you see dirt and/or water trapped inside. If you have problems with the electricals in your trailer, this is the reason.

Dirt & water trapped in a common Trailer Junction Box

Overtime, the common Electrical Junction boxes fitted in trailers leak dirt & water and break due to excess heat weakening the plastic. Another frightening thought is if a trailer equipped with a broken junction box happens to drive past a motor vehicle accident on a cold morning where there was fuel spillage and the trailer park lights and/or park lights are on, this can be a recipe for disaster.
As water is an electrical conductor, the humidity and fuel vapors easily enter the junction box causing a spark which then can ignite the fuel vapors causing an unexpected explosion.

Upon installation, the existing wiring on board is checked and all corroded wire sections are cut off. This process is to ensure long, reliable service life.
The Duraseal DryBox is suitable for all trailers including Dollys and has the provision to connect an existing or upcoming device on the auxiliary (Blue) circuit.
